Training for Internal Affairs Officers on Prevention of Domestic Violence

From July 2 to July 4, 2018, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan conducted a training course on training employees of law enforcement bodies and improving their skills in teaching the subject "Prevention of Domestic Violence", which was organized as part of the State Program on Violence Prevention in the family in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2014-2023.
This training was attended by the Head of the Division of Management of Precinct Inspectors of the Department of Public Order Protection of the MIA, the Senior Inspector of the above-mentioned Department, employees of the Department MIA in Dushanbe city, employees of the DMIA in Khatlon region, employees of the DMIA Sugd region, employees of the DMIA in GBAO, employees of the DMIA in Rasht group regions, employees of the DMIA in Gissar city, employees of the DMIA in Bokhtar city, employees of tht DMIA in Kulyab city, employees of the DMIA in Khujand city, employees of the DMIA in Khorog city, employees of the DMIA in Varzob district, employees of the regional office for the Kulyab group of districts.

The training was organized by representatives of the German Corporation for the International Cooperation GmbH (GIZ) in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Project on the Prevention of Domestic Violence (PDV) in Tajikistan.
In the first part of this event, Deputy Head of the Academy of the MIA, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Colonel of Police Saidzoda Z.A. made an introductory speech. He noted in his speech that the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan the state shall protect the family as the basic of society. Family is the primary unit of society in Tajikistan.
Also, the training was attended by the Director of the PDV branch in the Republic of Tajikistan Elena Maksimenko.
During the training, participants discussed various issues, for example, theoretical aspects of the legal regulation of preventing domestic violence, studying the teaching skills of the subject "Prevention of Domestic Violence", aspects of the response (reaction) of police officers to incidents related to domestic violence, aspects of psychological violence in family.

At this training, the practical staff acquainted participants with their activities on the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, on the implementation of the State Program for the Prevention of Domestic Violence in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2014-2023 and expressed their views through the presentation of presentations on improve their activities to help create a family, strengthen and strengthen the position of the family, family life, protect and improve the situation of each member of the family, also, for moral development growing generation of Tajikistan.
